![]() John and Duckman ![]() Class Presentation Year 2000 Student Projects Marissa Artiano-Meditation
The effects of
meditation on people’s beliefs in religion, and what people are trying
to accomplish through meditation. Elianna Bar-el-VoodooVodoun,
otherwise known as Voodoo, Vaudou, and Vodu, is the heritage of the
ancient African nations that were exiled in the New World.
It is more than one thing. It
is medicine, justice, police, art, dance, music, as well as religious
ritual. It is the common
ground upon which the children of the African New World Diaspora stand
together.
I picked this subject because it sounded
extremely interesting and I think that I can sufficiently portray the
world of Vodoun. I think
that it is very important because not a lot of high school students know
the significant morals and actions as well as specific rituals of Vodoun.
My approach is to interview students at Peninsula on their
religious back round and then ask them what they know about Vodoun.
I will share my research as well as show a video clip on a
specific ritual associated with Vodoun.

be interesting and insightful! I

differences between the two religions. Kathryn
